Step-by-Step: How to Deposit Crypto

Depositing cryptocurrency into your Uphold Wallet is a straightforward process. You simply need to generate a receiving address and send your funds to it.

1. Find Your Receiving Address

Log in to your Uphold account, navigate to the **"Transactions"** or **"Transfer"** section, and select the cryptocurrency you wish to deposit. Choose the **"From Cryptocurrency or wallet"** option to generate your unique wallet address.

2. Copy the Address

Carefully copy the generated wallet address. It's best to use the copy button provided to avoid any typos. You can also scan the QR code if you are sending from a mobile wallet.

3. Send the Funds

Go to your external wallet or exchange and paste the Uphold address into the send field. Double-check the address one more time before confirming the transaction. The funds will appear in your Uphold account after a few network confirmations.

How to Trade or Convert Crypto

Uphold's "Anything to Anything" model allows for seamless trading between a vast number of assets, including cryptocurrencies, fiat currencies, and even precious metals.

1. Select Your Assets

From your main dashboard, click on the **"Trade"** or **"Transact"** button.

2. Enter the Trade Details

Choose the asset you want to **"From"** (e.g., Bitcoin) and the asset you want to **"To"** (e.g., Ethereum). Enter the amount you wish to trade. Uphold will show you the real-time conversion rate.

3. Confirm the Transaction

Review the details of your trade, including any fees, and then confirm. The transaction is typically instant, and your new assets will appear in your wallet shortly.

1. Navigate to the Withdraw Section

From your Uphold dashboard, select the asset you want to withdraw. Choose the **"To Cryptocurrency or wallet"** option.

2. Enter Destination Details

Paste the external wallet address you want to send your crypto to. **This step is critical: double-check the address to avoid losing your funds.** Enter the amount you wish to withdraw and review the network fees.

3. Confirm the Withdrawal

Review all transaction details. Once you are certain the address and amount are correct, confirm the transaction. The funds will be sent to the destination address after a short processing time.
